Attendance

Attendance Tracking Policy

British Blueprint Skills Institute Ltd maintains robust systems to monitor and record student attendance in line with UK Home Office requirements.

  • Student attendance is recorded weekly for all scheduled teaching sessions.
  • Attendance is tracked using:
    • An electronic attendance register (spreadsheet or learning management system), and
    • Tutor-confirmed session records.
  • Tutors are responsible for marking attendance at each teaching session.
  • Attendance data is reviewed weekly by the compliance function.

Absence Monitoring

  • Any student absence is flagged immediately.
  • Students absent without authorisation are contacted within 24–48 hours.
  • Continued non-attendance triggers:
    • Formal warnings
    • Welfare and academic support checks
    • Escalation for potential Home Office reporting if required

All attendance records are retained as part of the student’s compliance file.
